The fishing village of Cetara pays homage to its maritime heritage with a festival dedicated to the cuoppo – a paper cone filled with freshly fried fish.
Visitors can watch seafood being fried to order and choose cones packed with anchovies, squid and small local fish. Music and stalls offering local colatura di alici (anchovy essence) complete an authentic evening on one of the least touristy stretches of coast.
